2018–until. Some miracles are years in the making—and wow, what a journey this one’s been. From our first exhibit seven years ago to now, Black Girl Miracle has become more than we ever imagined. It’s a story only God could have penned. We are grateful, and, we’re still only beginning.

Storytelling is one of our pillars at Black Girl Miracle—a practice we return to again and again. It’s how we make meaning from the fragments of our lives—the things we long for, cherish, or fail to find language for. And when we forget, stories help us remember who we are and where we come from.

Over the years, we’ve been entrusted with so many of your sacred stories. It’s been one of our greatest honors to steward them—to witness you brave your past, reckon with reality, and recognize glory even in your mundane.

All this to say, thank you for trusting us all this while. We can’t wait to share more with you as we enter this next chapter together. ✨

Hey there. We know it’s been a little quiet around here lately. So much has shifted over the last year—within BGM, the world, and maybe within you, too. God has been kind and we’re grateful for the invitation to pause, reset, and dream toward our next.

Black Girl Miracle began in 2018 as a testimony, a prayer, a tender, weak yes and a commitment to preserving the beauty, dignity, and witness of Black women and girls.

Since then, we’ve gathered, we’ve celebrated, we’ve learned, mourned, healed, evolved. And now—seven years later—we’re building again.

Welcome to the next part of our journey. We’ve so much to share with you in the days ahead, friends.

Still living in the memory of our latest About-Face workshop. From the bottom of our hearts — thank you to every woman for your openness and willingness to show up so honestly in a room full of strangers (that hopefully felt a little more like family in the end 🩷).
